I was able to shave a great five shots off my average score lately, and the fantastic thing about it is that I altered nothing about my physical game but only my viewpoint towards the round. After having a hard time for a couple of months now scoring between 90 and 95 and hitting a critical plateau I was becoming seriously fed up simply because no matter what I attempted to change about my game I simply just could not go lower. If I had attempted to play the flop shot I would have ended up in the bunker, be fortunate to get out within 15 meters of the hole and at the best get a double leaving the whole ready to strike my next drive. By playing safe and maintaining my cool I would save a minimum of one shot or possibly two and leave the overall feeling average to good in relation to playing the next hole.
